an empty milk or drinks carton may seem like ‘waste’, but it is a valuable material resource.

WoW studios [Wonders of Waste] transforms residual materials into sustainable solutions and challenges the way we view ‘waste’: from something to be thrown away to something of value.

in this project, I create artworks from recycled plastic sourced from beverage cartons, making it tangible that residual streams can be beautiful and valuable.

why?

because we talk about a circular economy, while the production of new (virgin) plastic continues to grow and large amounts of plastic are still incinerated or landfilled. this increases CO2 emissions. at the same time, recycled plastic streams are often overlooked, even though they offer significant potential for CO2 reduction.

would you like to contribute to a circular future?

by purchasing an artwork, you make your impact tangible and visible:

  1.  you give value to recycled plastic

  2.  you help change the perception of ‘waste’ and inspire others to do the same.

  3.  you support my research into new applications and market developments for recycled plastic.

your purchase makes residual material valuable, transforms the misguided perception of ‘waste’, helps move circularity forward.
